Kenaf: Hibuscus cannabinus

Kenaf is the subtropical bast fiber sister of the more temperate Hemp plant. Kenaf also has a very high crop yield, and can be used wholly for paper-making. Many past and current development projects have tried to commercialize Kenaf in the US, up to now only available on a small scale.
